About This Role
Are you passionate about developing and supporting our occupational therapy workforce? If so, this role is for you.
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Practice Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will work with students, newly graduated, and existing occupational therapists across all of our Trust sites to support their clinical development.
This position requires expert clinical knowledge and experience within occupational therapy to deliver high-quality training, education, and clinical support. You will be part of a newly formed therapy clinical practice development team, led by the AHP workforce lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the clinical development of occupational therapists and students in partnership with their supervisors. This includes functioning as a practicing professional working directly alongside the occupational therapist in clinical practice.
- Lead on the design and delivery of the induction program for occupational therapists and coordinate occupational therapy student placements.
- Collaborate with the AHP workforce lead and other members of the development team to ensure a positive learning environment for occupational therapists and students.
- Work with the AHP Workforce lead and HR to plan future roles for graduating occupational therapy students, aiming to retain them within the Trust or wider health system. Participate in the planning and recruitment of cohorts onto the Occupational Therapy Apprenticeship programs.
