We are seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our team at Reed. Key Responsibilities- Undertake tendering exercises in compliance with EU Directives and Public Contract Regulations.
- Support internal and external stakeholders on procurement projects.
- Deliver presentations and briefings on procurement regulations and directives.
- Lead, negotiate, construct, and manage diverse and complex procurement contracts.
- Proactively manage contracts to identify savings, efficiencies, and achieve value for money.
- Contribute to procurement meetings at various levels and lead on initiatives as appropriate.
- Advise on tendering procedures to ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant legislation.
- Support high-value projects, handling technical and legal queries.
- Conduct market testing, supplier appraisal, and vendor rating for projects exceeding \u00a3100k.
- Report on spend trends and maintain accurate contract information.
- Demonstrate commitment to value for money and high-quality service.
- Promote and comply with equality and health & safety obligations.
- Experience in procurement within a public sector or similar environment.
- Knowledge of EU Directives, Public Contract Regulations, and tendering procedures.
- Ability to manage complex contracts and negotiate effectively.
- Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Analytical skills with the ability to produce accurate reports.
