Fresh People is seeking to appoint a Financial Strategy Partner for a Fresh Produce organization, directly reporting to the Finance Director as their second-in-command.
This position will collaborate closely with the packhouse and production sectors of the organization, delivering comprehensive and detailed financial assessments while supporting agricultural operations. The ideal candidate will possess ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications or equivalent experience, preferably within the fresh produce, agricultural, or FMCG sectors, and will demonstrate strong interpersonal abilities along with a proactive approach to effective business collaboration with key stakeholders. Building robust working relationships across all levels of the organization is essential.
Candidates must exhibit the capability to meet stringent deadlines while managing various deliverables, showcasing exceptional attention to detail and advanced Excel proficiency.
As the financial liaison, you will work alongside the business to fulfill its financial goals through insightful financial analysis and strategic solutions.
- Develop rate cards for packing assignments and evaluate the profitability of packhouse operations.
- Generate weekly profit and loss statements for both the Farm and the Packhouse, including thorough variance analysis.
- Collaborate with management teams to promote operational excellence.
- Proactively engage with senior management to identify and propose financial solutions that meet business requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for streamlined and effective financial analysis for both commercial and finance teams.
- Assist other agricultural functions, such as accommodation and transport, to ensure cost efficiencies are achieved.
- Scrutinize and challenge data sources and assumptions to guarantee that reporting is robust, consistent, and defensible.
- Provide critical evaluation and input into key decision-making processes throughout the production aspects of the organization.
- Serve as the deputy for the finance director during their absence.
