Job Title: Band 8a Locum Cancer Services Pharmacist

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Band 8a Cancer Services Pharmacist to join one of our specialized pharmacy teams in Bath.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality pharmaceutical care to oncology patients.
  • Support the Aseptic Unit managers in the day-to-day management and development of Aseptic Services with some Oncology Screening.
  • Act as an Authorised Pharmacist and supervise the day-to-day preparation of products, and their release for use in compliance with National & Local Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Work closely with Aseptic Services Technicians and Senior Pharmacy Technicians to prioritise workload and day-to-day operation of SACT services.
  • Ensure PASU is operating in accordance with current legislation and guidance including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Distribution Practice (GDP), Quality Assurance of Aseptic Preparation Services, RPSGB Code of Ethics, Health and Safety, Medicines Act, COSHH and Departmental Procedures.
Requirements:
  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Significant experience in aseptic, oncology and or haematology within a secondary care setting.
  • Competitive hourly rate.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Gain experience in a leading cancer services department.
