Assistant Shop Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Shop Manager. As a key member of our shop team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Shop Manager to lead a team of volunteers and drive sales and fundraising efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Shop Manager in leading a team of volunteers to achieve sales and fundraising targets
  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the shop, including stock management, customer service, and visual merchandising
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase shop revenue and customer engagement
  • Work closely with the Shop Manager to identify and address any issues or concerns within the shop
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new initiatives and projects to drive shop growth and success

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a retail or sales environment, with a strong understanding of customer service and sales principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with volunteers and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Passion for working with children and young people, and a commitment to the values and mission of The Children's Society
