Job Title: TIG Welder
Department: Welding and Fabrication
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday: 7:45 AM - 1:00 PM
Pay: £14 - £15.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Weld light steel and aluminum fabrications using TIG welding techniques, working with materials ranging from 3mm to 12mm in thickness.
- Ensure high-quality standards by inspecting raw materials and finished products for compliance with safety and company guidelines.
- Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision, ensuring adherence to required standards.
- Self-inspect welding activities within defined parameters before submitting for final inspection.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring equipment is hazard-free and properly inspected before use.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of TIG welding experience.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings is essential.
- Relevant welder certification in accordance with industry standards.
- NVQ Level qualification is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
