Position: English Teaching Assistant

Location: York, North Yorkshire

Salary: £83 - £100 per day

Contract Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist educators in delivering engaging and impactful lessons.
  • Work directly with students, either individually or in small groups, to reinforce their understanding and facilitate learning.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to foster a supportive and inclusive educational atmosphere.
  • Help implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Contribute positively to the school community by participating in various activities and events.
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support the overall development of learners.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in an English-related field, reflecting a commitment to academic achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish positive connections with students, educators, and families.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic demeanor, demonstrating a genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting student success.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and teaching methodologies.
  • Ability to function effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team, contributing to a nurturing school environment.
  • Possess a DBS registered with the update service or apply through GSL Education.
