The successful candidate will possess a proven history of effectively managing proposal and procurement processes, along with expertise in proposal writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage actively in the creation, composition, refinement, and formatting of high-quality, successful proposals, especially during the initial phases of framework submissions that often necessitate case studies.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of prospective clients' requirements, tender specifications, and operational dynamics, identifying how Mercator's services can fulfill those needs.
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team to prepare written documentation showcasing our experience, capabilities, and proposed methodologies.
- Ensure all submissions are meticulously proofread, comply with tender timelines, and align with Mercator's proposal management standards.
- Identify and collaborate with subject matter experts and associates as needed to gather essential evidence for proposals.
- Present technical data in a clear and accessible manner.
- Design, draft, edit, and submit proposal documents.
Proposal Management:
- Oversee the proposal submission process as required.
- Coordinate with team members to establish proposal writing strategies and manage timelines, deadlines, and necessary meetings to ensure timely and compelling submissions.
- Continuously build, maintain, and enhance our response repository, keeping accurate records and archiving materials in a 'proposal library' for future reference.
- Collect evidence to complete Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ).
- Analyze and comprehend the specific rules of each framework that proposals must adhere to.
Essential Qualifications:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and thorough proofreading skills.
- Proficient in using computers and major software applications.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks amidst multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality written documents consistently and within time constraints.
- Proven capability to work within a cross-functional team and synthesize large volumes of information into cohesive proposals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in consultancy, procurement, writing, or a related field, with a successful track record of producing high-quality proposals.
- Familiarity with the public sector procurement process, including open competition tenders and frameworks.
