About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for water treatment equipment. You will work closely with our design team to ensure mechanical compliance and excellence across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Customisation: Design and customise water treatment equipment as per project specifications, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Project Management: Collaborate with Project/Engineering Managers to establish schedules, meet deadlines, and manage engineering costs.
- Technical Liaison: Serve as the Mechanical Engineering interface between customers and suppliers throughout the project life cycle, including proposals, design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
- Documentation: Manage, review, and issue technical documents, including design calculations, data sheets, and drawings.
- Quality Assurance: Attend and validate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at supplier premises, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Field Support: Provide technical support to field engineers and customers, including occasional site inspections.
Requirements:
- MSc / MEng or BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or Water Technology or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to perform fluid hydraulics calculations, structural design and analysis, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, and MS Office programs.
- Membership (or working towards membership) in a relevant engineering institution.
- A positive and agile attitude, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
