About the Role:

The Hydrogen Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and adoption of electric vehicles, as well as pioneering race-to-road technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement contractual processes for sales and renewals with Formula E's media and sponsorship partners.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for media rights and sponsorship contractual queries.
  • Lead key media projects, including production services agreements, technical broadcast services agreements, and digital media services agreements.
  • Manage marketing, comms, and digital services framework agreements and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Support the VP Legal on complex matters and provide autonomous support once settled into the role.
  • Manage the commercial legal department trainee solicitor, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • 2:1 higher education degree in law or law conversion.
  • Private practice and commercial in-house experience.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating sponsorship agreements, media rights agreements, and general commercial agreements.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating agreements in respect of media production services and technical services.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a commercial approach to lawyering and a common-sense mindset.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to look at wider impact and longer-term vision, coupled with the ability to make it happen.
