Chief Information Security Officer

At TalkTalk Telecom Group PLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the overall security of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a Clear Security Strategy: Define a comprehensive security strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives.
- Lead Security Governance Committees: Chair security governance committees at the Executive Leadership Team and Board level to ensure effective security management.
- Manage Security Budget: Oversee the security budget to ensure cost-optimization and value delivery to the business.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements, such as the Telecommunications Security Act and the Investigatory Powers Act, as well as broader compliance programs like ISO27001.
- Prepare Security Updates: Provide regular security updates and reports to Senior Management, ELT, and the Board.
- Deliver Security Risk Reporting: Present security risk reports to various security governance committees, including the Security Committee.
- Develop Security Standards: Establish security standards that support our security policies and business needs.
- Manage Third-Party Suppliers: Ensure trusted third-party security suppliers perform within SLAs and act as a point of escalation.
- Regulatory Relationships: Manage relationships with regulators, suppliers, and industry partners concerning cyber security.
- Senior Leadership Experience: Proven experience in information security and risk management at a senior leadership level.
- Compliance Experience: Experience with ISO27001, PCI, and other security compliance standards, as well as working with auditors.
- Security Governance Expertise: Proven expertise in security governance and risk management methodologies, including leveraging best practice security frameworks like the CIS Top 20 or NIST Cyber Security Framework.
- Leadership Skills: Experience in leading security risk management meetings, delegating responsibilities, and influencing people to take action to resolve security risks.
- Technical Security Knowledge: Solid understanding and applicable knowledge of technical security concepts across different security domains.
- Legislative Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK legislation, such as the IP Act 2017, Telecoms Security Act, and Communications Act.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
