Job Summary

The Realtime Generalist will be a key member of our team at Technicolor Creative Studios, working closely with directors, creative directors, and other artists to deliver high-quality, real-time visual effects and interactive experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with directors and creative directors to develop and implement visual effects and interactive experiences for various projects.
  • Work efficiently and navigate a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of real-time software and engines, including Unreal Engine, Unity, and Frostbite.
  • Utilize custom production solutions to deliver high-quality content within production specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and fix problem content, and work with the team to identify and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of scene composition, lighting, and visual effects.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure that all work meets high-level expectations and specific project needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in visual effects, interactive experiences, or a related field.
  • Proactive and self-driven creative problem solver with excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced skills working with blueprints and Unreal Engine, with knowledge of Unity and Frostbite a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of environments, cameras, and layout, lighting, shader graph, sequencer, animation, and game dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Niagara/Chaos (FX, cloth, flesh, muscles) and knowledge of Maya or Houdini.
  • Strong sense of scene composition, lighting, color, and detail.
  • Experience working with physically based rendering and finding solutions from a visual, production, and technical perspective.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
