We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic Social Emotional Mental Health school in Redbridge. The school caters for boys and girls with mental health needs and/or other additional special education needs, all with an educational health care plan (EHCP).

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive and expert team, providing constant support for children with mental health needs and/or other additional special education needs. The role involves supporting small class sizes of 5-6 children and 1:1 work, requiring flexibility and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with mental health needs and/or other additional special education needs in small class sizes and 1:1 settings
  • Provide constant support and mentoring to children, promoting their emotional and mental well-being
  • Work collaboratively with therapists and other staff members to ensure a consistent and supportive approach
  • Contribute to the development of individualized education plans and support plans
What We Offer

We offer a competitive daily rate of up to £110, depending on experience, and the opportunity to work in a supportive and expert team. We also provide continuous support from the senior leadership team and specialist colleagues, as well as opportunities for professional development.

Requirements
  • Experience working with children with mental health needs and/or other additional special education needs
  • Ability to provide constant support and mentoring to children
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to working in small class sizes and 1:1 settings
