Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEMH Classroom Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment for pupils with additional SEMH needs across age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEMH needs, adapting your approach to meet their unique requirements.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting pupils' learning and social skills.
  • Intervene promptly and effectively in challenging situations, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all.
  • Deliver targeted interventions in Phonics, Literacy, and Numeracy, helping pupils to catch up with their peers.
  • Ensure all pupils have the right to work in the UK and undergo Overseas Criminal Clearance checks.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and training in SEMH support or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with pupils with SEMH needs, including challenging behavior.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Right to work in the UK and Overseas Criminal Clearance.
