About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Supported Living Specialist to join our team at Home Group. As a Supported Living Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our customers with Learning Disabilities to develop their skills and live more independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence and achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Support customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy, and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
  • Support customers to attend appointments, participate in hobbies and interests, or attend college or work.
  • Support customers with their personal care and medication needs outlined in their support plan.
  • Carry out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and regular reviews.

Requirements

  • A Level 2 Health and Social Care Certificate or willingness to work towards it.
  • Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail.
  • Experience of caring for others, either in a care setting or in a personal capacity.
  • Experience of working on own initiative, remaining calm under pressure, and having a resilient approach.
  • A flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs, recognizing every customer is different.
