We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Operations Advisor to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our Health and Protection team, you will play a crucial role in providing clinical expertise to support our Private Medical Insurance customers.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a key contact for clinical demands from customer-facing staff, working with claims consultants to ensure information is worded and presented in a way that best supports our customers and advisors.
- Protect customers and staff by ensuring that clinical decisions relating to cover and treatment provision are in line with standard medical practice and UK health philosophy.
- Maintain guidelines and a level of technical awareness, product knowledge, and build relationships with other business areas to improve the end-to-end customer journey.
- Hold a clinical qualification (e.g. nursing, physiotherapy, medicine) and currently registered with a professional regulatory body.
- Working at (or the equivalent of) NHS Band 6. acute.
- A great understanding of the UK health system, both NHS and private (desirable).
- Strong experience and knowledge of working with acute conditions and comfortable applying clinical knowledge outside of the direct treatment of patients.
- Excellent teamwork skills and confident communication skills and not afraid to ask questions or challenge set processes if necessary.
- Salary circa £38,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
- Bonus opportunity - 8% of annual salary (actual amount depends on performance and Aviva's).
- Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
