Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer - Automation Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing control and instrumentation systems, as well as ensuring that our products meet legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in engineering projects, interacting with customers and internal departments as required
  • Test, diagnose, and rectify faults to validate products
  • Ensure designs meet legislative requirements, including ATEX and EMC standards
  • Creation of system specifications and test documentation to a high standard

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Electrical CAD (AutoCAD Electrical, EPlan, SolidWorks Electrical)
  • Practical experience of designing and developing control and instrumentation systems
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, such as ProfiNET, EtherNetIP, and EtherCAT
  • Experience with industrial wiring and switchgear design and selection techniques
  • Knowledge of control loop design, including PID
  • Experience with electrical legislation and compliance techniques, including UKCA, CE, UL, and CSA
