About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at EdEx Education Recruitment. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special needs, including Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.

About the School

The school is a mainstream primary school with a Special Resource Provision (SRP) that provides a bridge between a mainstream primary school and a special needs school. The SRP has two classes with 7-9 children each, and a teacher and two TA's in each class. The children have a range of needs, including Social, Communication and Interaction delay/difficulties, Autism, Speech and Language delay, Sensory processing difficulties, Physical self-help difficulties, Cognition and learning delay, and Global Delay.

The provision is mostly play-based, with children dipping into subject-specific curriculum as and when they are suitable based on their developmental ability. The school is located in a large site surrounded by nature, with free parking on site.

About the Job

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting EYFS, KS1 and KS2 children, ages 5-9, in a holistic and fun learning environment. You will work closely with the teacher and other TA's to provide individualized support to children with special needs. This is a perfect opportunity for a graduate who wants a long-term career in special education or an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge.
