Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) in a Special Educational Needs school in Gloucestershire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with PMLD in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, adapting materials to meet the needs of students with complex needs
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting social and emotional development
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful classroom culture, fostering a sense of community and belonging

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with PMLD or similar complex needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Passion for supporting children with special educational needs, with a commitment to inclusive education
