Job Title: Guillotine Operator

We are seeking a skilled Guillotine Operator to join our team at Taylor Higson, a leading Print company in Sheffield. As a Guillotine Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our Polar Guillotine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Polar Guillotine.
  • Reduce machine downtime for make-readies and breakdowns.
  • Optimize running times while maintaining quality, as measured against quoted targets.
  • Understand every job and follow lists to ensure all work is completed.
  • Finish every job within allocated time scales and to a high quality, ensuring quality file copies are separated and labelled.
  • Box and label every job and prepare it for dispatch.
  • Implement maintenance tasks as planned.
  • Maintain the general cleanliness of the finishing department as part of your daily routine.
  • Liaise with the Finishing Supervisor to ensure work is completed as required.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety and Quality and Environmental Management System policies and procedures.
  • Be well-presented for work and conduct yourself in a professional and responsible manner at all times.
  • Fulfill the Company's requirements with regard to Management Information Systems.
  • Follow all administrative procedures adopted by the Company.
  • Use proper manual handling practices when lifting or stacking paper.
  • Be accustomed to working at a fast pace.

Benefits:

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 depending on experience.

Shifts: Double day shifts, 6am-1:30pm and 1:30pm-9pm.

Holidays: 28 days including Bank Holidays.

Overtime is available regularly for those who want it.
