StratforduponAvon, Warwickshire, United Kingdom EMIS Group Plc Full time

At EMIS Group Plc, we are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Product Lead to become a vital member of our accomplished EMIS-X Platform team on a permanent basis.

This is a pivotal moment for our organization as we continue to expand. You will play a crucial role in driving the success of our EMIS-X offerings, which are revolutionizing the future of healthcare technology through cloud-based solutions such as AWS.

As a Senior Product Lead, you will oversee product backlogs aimed at achieving our strategic objectives, in addition to providing line management and mentorship to Product Owners.

If you aspire to be part of a company that values your contributions and offers a role that allows you to witness your impact on enhancing current and future health outcomes through effective product leadership, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

This Senior Product Lead position allows for remote work; however, our product team convenes monthly for collaborative sessions.

Key Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Product Lead, you will be expected to manage and mentor other Product Owners within the Product Platform domain, providing guidance, support, and alignment with agile methodologies. You will collaborate closely with other Senior and Principal Product Owners to foster a culture of excellence and standardization across the product owner community.

You will take ownership of the product backlog, crafting actionable user stories that ensure clear requirements and acceptance criteria are established. Responsible for the specifications of a technology platform hosted on AWS, you will work in close partnership with engineering and product teams.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage and organize the product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized and contains detailed, actionable user stories.
  • Collaborate across the product owner community to implement standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives by gathering stakeholder feedback, analyzing product performance, and identifying enhancement opportunities.
  • Define and implement agile development principles, working collaboratively to define features that deliver maximum customer and business value.
  • Actively participate in agile processes, including iteration planning, retrospectives, refinement, reviews, demos, meetings, and daily stand-ups.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We seek an experienced leader or mentor in product ownership, with a passion for implementing and embedding quality standards in product processes. You should have a proven track record of success in an agile environment, demonstrating expertise in maintaining and prioritizing product backlogs, writing clear user stories, and defining acceptance criteria.

As a Senior Product Lead, you should have prior experience in delivering cloud-based PaaS (Platform as a Service) products. You will have collaborated closely with development teams, interpreting functional specifications into technical requirements.

Desired Technical Skills Include:

  • Experience with digital products and close collaboration with technologists.
  • Strong technical background with proficiency in technologies such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience in defining and implementing quality processes across a complex organization.
  • A demonstrable history of creating successful, high-quality products and services.
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile and/or SAFe methodologies.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to ensure the highest quality product delivery.
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and the various markets they serve is desirable.

If this aligns with your career aspirations, we invite you to explore this opportunity.
