Job Title: Fire Safety Technical Supervisor

BT Group is seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Technical Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our property and facilities services department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our workplace estate is safe and compliant with all relevant fire safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain a best-in-class fire safety management strategy to ensure the safety of our employees and the public.
  2. Provide subject matter expertise in fire safety engineering and risk assessments to support the delivery of projects across the estate.
  3. Collaborate with third-party contractors and consultants to ensure that they are aware of and comply with fire safety regulations.
  4. Conduct regular fire risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
  5. Develop and implement fire safety training programs for employees.
  6. Monitor and report on fire safety performance metrics to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  7. Stay up-to-date with changes in fire safety legislation and technical standards to ensure that our estate remains compliant.

Requirements:

  1. Strong background in fire safety and building services.
  2. Knowledge of local regulatory framework and current fire safety legislation.
  3. Practical knowledge of fire safety engineering and risk assessments.
  4. Ability to communicate complex fire safety information to non-technical stakeholders.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
