About the Role
The SACT Team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and passionate Band 6 Nurse to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced cancer nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering high-quality care.
As a SACT Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and management to patients receiving oral chemotherapy (SACT). You will be part of a newly revised service that operates six days a week and offers primary assessment and support for these patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical expertise, education, and management to SACT patients.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, including GPs, hospital consultants, and other healthcare professionals.
- Promote self-care for all patients within the Torbay and South Devon Health Authority, including those receiving hospice care.
- Ensure seamless service delivery by providing advice, support, and information throughout the patient journey, from diagnosis to end-of-life care.
- Actively engage in evidence-based practice and contribute to the development of innovative cancer care services.
