About the Role

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Oncologist to join our team. As a specialist in Breast and Colorectal tumours, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and friendly team of oncologists, cancer nurse specialists, and radiographers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical opinion and take full responsibility for the care of patients with Breast and Colorectal tumours.
  • Contribute to the development of radiotherapy and SACT services, including immunotherapy.
  • Participate in cancer clinical trials and contribute to the development of new treatments.
  • Teach junior medical staff and professions allied to medicine, and participate in trust teaching programmes.
  • Contribute to the governance and management of the oncology department.

About the Team

You will be joining a committed and friendly team of 8 Clinical and 3 Medical Oncologists, supported by 3 Specialty Doctors, 2 Clinical Fellow posts, and 3 registrars from the Peninsula Postgraduate School of Medicine. We also have a successful cancer clinical trials team with a varied commercial and non-commercial portfolio.
