Position: Weapons Testing Operations Manager
Location: On-site

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Weapons Testing Operations to ensure the successful execution of all tasks in accordance with the Testing & Commissioning schedule.
- Facilitate all necessary components required for the effective implementation of the Testing & Commissioning strategy.
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of the Testing & Commissioning approach and methodologies.
- Encourage team development and foster a culture of continuous learning across various contracts.
- Assist in structuring the organization to adapt to evolving workloads, ensuring readiness to fulfill all Testing & Commissioning requirements.
- Lead and mentor team members to ensure the availability of suitably qualified and experienced personnel to meet the Testing & Commissioning demands.
- Uphold a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to all relevant processes and protocols.
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Proven expertise in Hydraulics, Control & Instrumentation, and Air Systems within a Weapons Systems context, including testing and commissioning experience, preferably from a military or submarine background.
- Experience in team management.
- Proficient in managing the delivery of operational plans and schedules.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SAP, or similar tools is advantageous.

About the Team:
The Weapons Testing Operations Manager will supervise and coordinate the testing section to align with the Boat Commissioning Plan, managing a diverse group of Commissioning Engineers with various skills and expertise to effectively lead and execute the program. This role reports directly to the Boat Commissioning Manager and is crucial for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of the Propulsion Commissioning line, meeting all essential milestones and objectives.
The Weapons Testing team is guided by the Propulsion Commissioning Manager, supported by several Commissioning Project Leaders from both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines, along with a range of Commissioning Engineers. The Testing and Commissioning sector presents a unique opportunity to engage with some of the most advanced technological projects globally, collaborating with industry partners to deliver submarines to the Royal Navy.
