We are currently in search of a motivated, proactive, and dedicated individual to support our Associate Director at Pearson Whiffin Recruitment, where you will have the opportunity to earn commission on her desk, as she was the top performer in the company last year.

This position offers a fantastic chance to gain extensive insights from a leading expert in the recruitment industry, while also gaining exposure to various sectors, candidates, and clients to enhance your recruitment capabilities.

Working closely with our Associate Director, who oversees four dynamic divisions and manages a busy Engineering desk, this role will be diverse and fast-paced, with ample opportunities for advancement for the right candidate.

As you will be replacing a team member who has advanced to a consultant role, you will have the freedom to take initiative in your responsibilities, with direct support from the Associate Director to foster your recruitment career.

This role is perfect for someone with prior recruitment or sales experience, possessing a results-oriented mindset, and looking to develop a successful desk in a friendly, collaborative, and supportive team environment.

The responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Specialist will include:

  • Collaborating proactively and effectively with the Associate Director, providing organizational and administrative assistance to support the growth of the broader team.
  • Being an active team player, building strong relationships with all internal colleagues, as we are a close-knit team that encourages mutual success.
  • Contributing to the expansion of the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Technical Division, working on an established and growing desk with a continuous influx of new roles.
  • Developing your recruitment expertise by learning the entire process from understanding job requirements to successfully placing and onboarding new hires.
  • Actively networking and sourcing candidates.
  • Maintaining accurate records in our CRM system while often multitasking.
  • Providing comprehensive support, including document formatting, job advertisement writing, acting as a gatekeeper, managing spreadsheets, overseeing the CRM system, assisting with new procedure implementations, coordinating schedules, and preparing for daily tasks and ad-hoc responsibilities.
  • Conducting thorough in-person registrations and interview preparations.
  • Attending meetings alongside the Associate Director, taking notes, and making a positive impression on the businesses we collaborate with while absorbing valuable knowledge.

The ideal Talent Acquisition Specialist will possess:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced recruitment or sales environment, with a solid understanding of the industry and a long-term commitment to a career in recruitment.
  • A dedicated, energetic, and ambitious nature, with a willingness to go above and beyond.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience engaging with candidates and clients on a daily basis.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • A trustworthy, genuine, and positive attitude, with a focus on personal development.
  • A passion for learning and a desire to absorb knowledge in a fun and friendly team setting.
  • An interest in specializing in the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Technical sectors (not mandatory, but a willingness to work in this area is essential).
  • The ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities calmly and professionally.
  • A strong CV that demonstrates reliability and employability.
  • Excellent writing skills, with attention to spelling and grammar.
  • A natural commercial awareness.
  • A good understanding of the importance of confidentiality while supporting a manager in a busy team.
