Job Title: Estate Agency Director

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Estate Agency Director to lead our Housing Service team in Portsmouth and Havant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing rental income, letting empty properties, and providing advice and guidance on key tenancy issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of Housing Officers to deliver effective responses to tenancy management issues.
  • Manage rental income and ensure Housing Officers are equipped to engage and enable customers to make good financial decisions.
  • Let empty properties and work with stakeholders to facilitate the process.
  • Provide advice and guidance on key tenancy issues, including successions, assignments, and priority housing transfers.
  • Continuously develop the skill set of Housing Officers to improve service delivery to customers.
Requirements:
  • Current experience of working in a challenging front-line service.
  • Ability to lead a team of Housing Officers and provide support and advice to make them more effective in their role.
  • Knowledge of the housing officer role and ability to equip Housing Officers to work in a way that results in better outcomes for customers.
  • Ability to use data and measures to influence where and how you spend your time.
  • Flexibility to work from any of the 7 Area Housing Offices and attend resident meetings during out of hours.
  • Current driving license and daily use of a vehicle.
