Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our compliance and quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies: Create and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  3. Provide Training and Support: Deliver training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and best practices.
  4. Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  5. Monitor and Report: Regularly monitor health and safety performance and report on key metrics and trends.
  6. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with employees, management, and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration on health and safety matters.
Requirements
  1. Proven Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a logistics and transport environment.
  2. Qualifications: Hold a NEBOSH certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, and an internal auditing qualification such as ISO45001.
  3. Knowledge and Skills: In-depth understanding of UK health and safety legislation, including CDM, WAH, Asbestos, and Gas regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
