About the Role

Guardian Industries, a leading glass producer and innovator, is seeking a skilled IT/OT System Administrator to join its team at the Goole plant in East Yorkshire. As a key member of the plant's IT-OT team, you will be responsible for providing local support for the Process and Operational technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage IT-related project deployments in the plant, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and global IT/OT teams to drive process improvements and resolve technical issues.
  • Oversee the management of onsite IT service providers and vendors, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement, maintain, and support plant operational printers, ensuring high uptime and minimal downtime.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve OT network or OT systems issues, minimizing disruptions to plant operations.
  • Own and support anti-virus software on plant Process workstations, laptops, and servers, ensuring a secure environment.
  • Administer and support software patching on plant Process workstations, laptops, and servers, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Cybersecurity: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect plant systems and data.
  • Familiar with ITIL processes, ensuring efficient incident management and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of current network communications devices and protocols, as well as server and desktop technologies, especially Windows Server.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco and VMware is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Previous work experience following change management procedures and maintaining a highly available infrastructure.
  • Fluent in English.
