Job Title: Academic Lecturer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Academic Lecturer to join our team at Regent College London. As an Academic Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students, developing curriculum materials, and contributing to the academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning:
    • Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and tutorials to students
    • Develop and maintain curriculum materials, including lesson plans and assessments
    • Assess student performance and provide feedback
  • Assessment and Evaluation:
    • Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student learning
    • Mark and provide feedback on student assignments and exams
    • Participate in standardization and moderation meetings
  • Student Support:
    • Provide academic guidance and support to students
    • Monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement
    • Refer students to relevant support services as needed
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance processes
    • Participate in program evaluations and accreditation processes
    • Engage in scholarly activities to enhance teaching and learning

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Master's degree in a relevant subject area
    • Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or willingness to work towards
  • Experience:
    • Significant experience in teaching and curriculum development in a higher education setting
    • Experience in quality assurance and accreditation processes
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
