Position Overview:
Daytime Healthcare Recruitment is collaborating with a prominent National Children's Residential Organization seeking dedicated Youth Justice Support Workers.

Compensation:
Overtime and bank holidays compensated at time and a half.

Salary Structure:
Full Time - £26,516 per annum, based on a 40-hour work week (includes weekends and bank holidays).
Part Time - £13,258 pro-rata, based on a 20-hour work week (includes weekends and bank holidays).

Key Responsibilities:
As a Youth Justice Support Worker, your primary duties will include:
  • Providing direct care and support to young individuals aged 16 to 17 years.
  • Ensuring the safety of young people through effective collaboration with external agencies and emergency services, adhering to local authority safeguarding protocols.
  • Working closely with local authorities to mitigate young people's offending behaviors and assist them in fulfilling their court mandates.
  • Maintaining a trauma-informed atmosphere within the residential setting at all times.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess:
  • A relevant qualification in Social Work, Probation, Youth Justice, or Youth Work.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with at-risk youth.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by young individuals.
  • The capability to manage challenging behaviors effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • A solid understanding of the barriers and challenges faced by non-white youth within the criminal justice system.
