Flexible Level Support Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Flexible Level Support Engineer to join our London team. You will play a vital role in maintaining exceptional customer experiences by providing on-site engineering support, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of AV systems across proAV's diverse client portfolio.

This position involves working with various audio visual spaces, including auditoriums, meeting rooms, unified communication systems, and more. Due to the nature of our service-based business, strict SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are in place to guarantee high uptime levels and efficient fault resolution.

While this is an on-site based role, you will not be confined to a single account. Instead, your focus will be on providing level engineering support where required, collaborating with existing onsite teams or offering temporary backfill to permanent engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve AV faults using established diagnostic techniques
  • Communicate effectively with clients, facility owners, contractors, and other relevant parties to complete AV repairs
  • Ensure all AV services are performed according to system documentation, industry standards, and best practices
  • Provide preventative maintenance support as needed
  • Adhere to client and proAV policies, including security, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), Quality, and Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Report break-fix updates and key management information to site managers
  • Submit fault reports to the appropriate teams
Desired Skills and Experience
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a corporate AV environment
  • Extensive knowledge of event spaces, including audio, video, and lighting equipment (both digital and analog)
  • Ability to multitask effectively and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and remain calm in challenging situations
  • Excellent communication, time management, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual
  • Ability to build strong relationships with individuals at all levels
  • Proactive and able to use initiative appropriately
  • In-depth understanding of Audio-Visual systems and technologies
  • Customer-focused approach with a proven ability to interact effectively with people at all levels in a friendly, welcoming, and helpful manner
