Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Red Recruitment Group. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, infrastructure, and facilities to minimize downtime and ensure a safe working environment.
  2. Health and Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a high level of safe practices in the engineering department.
  3. PPM Schedule Planning: Develop and implement a Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule to ensure timely and efficient maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  4. Team Leadership: Provide technical support and training to staff, and lead a team of engineers to ensure the successful execution of maintenance and repair activities.
  5. Contractor Management: Liaise with external contractors to ensure satisfactory performance and delivery of maintenance and repair services.
  6. Project Support: Provide technical expertise and support to projects requiring engineering inputs.
  7. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to reduce reactive maintenance and improve overall efficiency.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: Apprenticeship or industry-recognized qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  2. Experience: Proven experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with experience working with robots and conveyors.
  3. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of plant operation principles, methods, and processes.
  4. Leadership: Demonstrated team leadership and supervisory experience.
  5. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with sound problem-solving ability.
