Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician

At Rubber Duck Cars, we are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team. As an HGV Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks on HGVs to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with HGVs, using your expertise and knowledge of electrical systems.
- Fabrication and Welding: Fabricate and weld components as needed to repair or replace damaged parts.
- Assembly and Disassembly: Assemble and disassemble parts with precision, ensuring accurate and efficient repairs.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns, ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
- Operational Safety: Operate power tools and forklifts safely and efficiently, adhering to company safety protocols.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand tools, welding, soldering, and power tools, as well as knowledge of electrical systems in vehicles.
- Customer Focus: Strong customer service skills, with a focus on exceeding client expectations and delivering top-notch service.
- Technical Expertise: Ability to assemble, maintain, and repair HGVs effectively, with a strong understanding of commercial vehicle repair principles.
- Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
- Additional Skills: Knowledge of electrical systems in vehicles is advantageous, and forklift operation experience is a plus.
