We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in mainstream secondary schools across Liverpool.
About the Role:As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with diverse needs such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You'll support their learning, development, and emotional well-being, ensuring they have the best possible educational experience.
Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN
- Support students with their academic work and adapt materials to suit individual learning needs
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning strategies
- Help manage challenging behaviour and promote emotional resilience
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN in any capacity
- A genuine passion for helping students with additional needs achieve their full potential
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to work
- Teaching Assistant qualifications (desirable but not essential)
- Experience working in a secondary school setting is a plus but not required
- Enhanced DBS check and on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
