About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ward Manager to join our Elective Surgical Unit at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the nursing team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients undergoing elective surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing team to provide exceptional patient care and safety
  • Develop and implement effective nursing strategies to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Manage and coordinate the ward's resources and operations
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care
Requirements
  • Substantial experience as a Band 6 nurse with surgical experience
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and safety
