Job Opportunity: Sous Chef

Klarent Hospitality is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at DoubleTree by Hilton Southampton.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the production of high-quality food items, ensuring excellent food hygiene practices, and managing the kitchen team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and preparation
  • Ensure HACCP compliance and maintain high standards of food safety
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management and staff supervision
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to achieve excellent customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
