About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Hotel Indigo Edinburgh Princes Street - Twenty Princes Street. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring our kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure seamless food production and service.
  • Develop and implement menus that are creative, profitable, and aligned with our brand standards.
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other department heads to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor and control kitchen costs, including labor, food, and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, health and safety regulations, and kitchen management.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
