This is a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to join the Industrial Equipment Mechanic Work Leaders at RAF Lakenheath. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading maintenance tasks and teams, as well as overseeing the overhaul and repair of water treatment and distribution systems, industrial waste treatment equipment, and collection systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and train teams in performing all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Overhaul and repair various types of equipment in water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Make templates, jigs, and other fixtures required for repair or installation.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a BTEC Level 3 / City and Guilds/NVQ in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. You should have proven experience in leading maintenance tasks and teams, as well as expertise in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Knowledge of operating characteristics of the involved systems and equipment, and the applicable installation and repair procedures, methods, and trade practices is essential. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required for this position. You will need to undertake a pre-employment physical (including immunisations) for this role.
