This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a person-centred, fun, and positive PA to join our team. We are looking for someone to work with a client who lives in central York and has a visual impairment and some memory issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Accompany the client on walks in all weather
- Attend hospital appointments with the client
- Advocate for the client on occasion
- Accompany the client to the swimming pool
- Assist with light housework, including laundry
- Help with meal preparation and cooking
- Assist with light gardening
- Support with planning and shopping
- Reliable and committed
- Confident and cheerful
- Professional and respectful
- Able to liaise with healthcare professionals
- Happy to take and follow instructions
- Excellent listener and able to use initiative
- Prepared to use PPE in the client's home and when out and about
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.50
- 5.6 weeks paid holiday pro rata
- Annual increment every April
