Position Overview
We are seeking a Committee Advisor to be part of our Governance Office within the Enablement Group.
This is a full-time position on a permanent basis. The role is designed to foster collaboration and engagement with various stakeholders, ensuring effective governance and oversight.
We promote a flexible, hybrid working model, requiring a minimum of 8 days per month on-site to facilitate essential interactions and collaboration necessary for the Agency's objectives. Depending on the role's requirements, this may increase to 12 days per month, with the remainder of the time spent working remotely or in the office.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency is dedicated to enhancing public health through the regulation of medicines and medical devices, supported by scientific research.
The Governance Office plays a crucial role in providing high-quality support to uphold corporate governance standards, risk management, and independent advisory committees.
This position will oversee the effective management of the Agency's advisory committees, collaborating closely with committee Chairs and the Committee Services Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with committee Chairs and expert members, ensuring seamless meeting operations in accordance with regulations.
- Promoting consistency in committee meeting practices across the organization by collaborating with team members and monitoring performance metrics.
- Managing Declarations of Interest in compliance with policies, emphasizing the importance of public confidence in the Agency's operations.
- Coordinating the appointment of new committee members in partnership with the scientific secretariat and relevant stakeholders.
- Preparing responses to inquiries from Parliament, Private Office correspondence, and Freedom of Information requests, ensuring timely submissions.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering individual development and encouraging innovative solutions to challenges.
Candidate Profile:
- Organized and detail-oriented with a methodical approach to tasks.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills are essential.
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver key outcomes.
- Experience in a dynamic team environment and proficiency in MS Office is required; familiarity with additional software is a plus.
- Previous experience in committee management is preferred.
