We are thrilled to announce a full-time position for an Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Specialist at Leicestershire Partnership Trust (LPT). This role is integral to our Safety and EPRR Team.

Your primary responsibilities will include leading the formulation and execution of the EPRR annual work plan, ensuring alignment with NHS England's Core Standards for EPRR. You will play a crucial role in reviewing and enhancing existing plans, conducting EPRR training and exercises, and guiding the response to emerging challenges or crises.

Collaboration with multi-agency partners across the Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland health sectors, as well as the Local Resilience Forum, will be vital in managing emergency planning frameworks and complex response protocols. You will also provide assurance to our Accountable Emergency Officer (AEO) and the Trust board regarding EPRR compliance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the coordination of emergency and business continuity plans, ensuring compliance with national, regional, and local regulations, as well as legal obligations under the Civil Contingencies Act and EPRR Framework.
  • Serve as the primary contact for emergency preparedness within the organization, offering advice, training, and support while participating in system emergency planning discussions.
  • Maintain current policies, plans, and guidelines, manage reporting requirements, and disseminate critical information throughout the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to the NHS England (NHSE) Framework for EPRR, confirming that all core standards are met satisfactorily.
  • Manage the Operations hub in accordance with the Integrated Care Board (ICB) System Co-ordination Centre (SCC) policy, coordinating incoming communications and relaying them to relevant departments and senior leaders.
  • Hold responsibility for effective and efficient responses during major incidents.
