About the Role:

This exciting and varied position will report to the Company Environment Manager and will actively support Veolia on all environmental matters by establishing relationships with key stakeholders to assure the right standards are in place, by undertaking regular specialized environmental assurance audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with operational teams and identify further improvements and provide solutions in this area.
  • Work closely with the wider R&A team to support operations and where appropriate, support and liaise with external stakeholders, regulators and customers.
  • Be extremely people-facing - getting out and about with colleagues to keep a finger on the business pulse - sharing best practice and engaging our teams on environmental matters.

Requirements:

  • Environmental degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Qualified in an Environmental Certificate IEMA, with proven previous experience - preferably in an operational setting.
  • Continuous improvement ability and experience e.g simplification of processes with the ability to communicate complex explanations and concepts in an engaging manner to diverse audiences.
  • The ability to influence key stakeholders on site.
  • An individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide industry-leading customer service to all internal and external customers.
