About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Community Public Health Nurse to join our Health Visiting service at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to antenatal and postnatal care programs, ensuring the health and well-being of new and growing families.
  • Complete mandated reviews, packages of care, and safeguarding activities, prioritizing the safety and protection of vulnerable individuals.
  • Support the supervision and development of colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Undertake a range of clinical and non-clinical interventions to support the outcomes for families and the service, utilizing evidence-based practice and clinical judgment.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to enhance the team working environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
Requirements
  • Registered healthcare professional (NMC registration) with a health-related degree and relevant postgraduate development at Level 6.
  • Evidence of Specialist qualifications relevant to the area of practice, specifically Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the area of practice, with practical experience in managing health-related projects and complex caseloads.
  • Supporting others (mentor/educator/supervisor) experience, with a strong ability to motivate and organize others to ensure best practice.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to communicate complex, sensitive information to individuals and groups.
