The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for delivering precise, timely, and comprehensive financial data and analysis to guide decision-making and financial management activities. The key responsibilities include:

Core Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner

  • Engage with budget holders and stakeholders within designated Directorates to offer expert financial counsel and support on financial issues.
  • Establish and nurture effective working relationships with budget holders, grasping their objectives and translating them into financial strategies and plans.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to create and enforce robust financial controls and processes.
  • Generate accurate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for assigned teams, ensuring adherence to regulations and policies.
  • Examine financial data, identify trends and discrepancies, and provide insights to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory obligations.

Essential Skills and Experience of the Finance Business Partner

  • A recognized accounting qualification or part qualification (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated business partnering capabilities.
  • Prior experience in a commercial or property setting (desirable).
  • Experience in asset management (desirable).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to foster relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
