Clinical Psychologist Home Based Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical and Counselling Psychologist to join our team in a home-based role. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to women and birthing people with severe and complex mental health needs during the perinatal period.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the improvement of psychological health and wellbeing of women and birthing people, and their babies and families. You will work closely with the Professional Lead and Service Manager/s to ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality psychological service in the specialist field of practice.
Main Responsibilities- Providing clinical leadership and supervision for less experienced staff, trainees, and volunteers.
- Working with the Professional Lead and Service Manager/s to ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality psychological service in the specialist field of practice.
- Receiving regular professional and clinical supervision in accordance with Trust policy and Professional Practice Guidelines set out by the British Psychological Society or appropriate designated Professional Body.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, nonverbally, and in writing complex, highly technical, and/or clinically sensitive information to patients, families, carers, and other professional colleagues.
- Strong leadership qualities, resilience, and ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Advanced psychological assessment and formulation skills, including risk assessment.
- Ability to integrate complex data and take a long-term perspective.
- Proven organisational, planning, and time management skills.
- Presentable with a clear telephone voice and calm, methodical approach.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative within a service consisting of a network of teams.
- Ability to use clinical and professional supervision effectively and in particular in relation to reflective practice.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Further training in at least one (other) psychological therapy.
- Further training or experience in Perinatal Mental Health.
- Further training in related areas.
- Further training in clinical supervision.
- Broad knowledge of specialist mental health services for mothers and their infants and of the wider network of mental health services in the NHS.
- Extensive knowledge of the skills, practice, and knowledge base of Clinical/Counselling Psychology/Psychological Therapy.
- Knowledge of the policy context of specialist psychological services within the organisation and of clinical leadership arrangements in this setting.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to Child Protection.
