About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join our Group legal team as a Part-Time Litigation Solicitor - Real Estate Disputes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of litigation matters, including contractual, construction, and property disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dealing with a variety of property and construction related disputes, including contractual and construction disputes.
- Supervising and training other solicitors and members of the team on dispute work.
- Offering training and working with other departments within the business to formulate effective dispute procedures and management.
- Corresponding with litigants and providing strategic legal solutions and high-quality legal advice.
- Drafting statements of case and representing the business at court on lower value disputes.
- Liaising with external solicitors to manage high value, complex claims.
- Instructing senior and junior counsel and attending conference with counsel on higher value dispute work.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders to build robust cases and resolve disputes effectively.
- Providing updates and reports to the regional teams, the General Counsel, and the Executive.
- Developing a network of personal contacts across the operating area.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years PQE in Property Litigation.
- Supervisory and training skills, with the ability to manage multiple caseloads at any one time.
- Demonstratable technical experience gained within the Property Litigation field.
- Excellent IT skills and flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines.
