Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As an integral member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering key electrical projects from concept to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Ownership: You will be responsible for owning and delivering electrical projects, ensuring that time, cost, and quality integrity are robust and delivered against primarily through project construction and execution phases.
  2. Design and Construction: You will lead the design, contracting, construction, and testing of all associated project work to deliver the requirements as stated on the full capital investment submission.
  3. Contractor Management: You will explore all possible options for the project and rigorously analyze them, ensuring that alternatives are well understood. You will also select and appoint appropriate contractors for the lifecycle of the project to ensure that the right overall resource/skills are in place.
  4. Project Scheduling: You will develop and manage a robust project schedule based on the stage-gate process to facilitate effective financial and commercial project management, creating and leveraging business value.
  5. Quality and Risk Management: You will ensure that an appropriate quality management system is in place to ensure that all project outputs meet the key stakeholder requirements. You will also implement an appropriate risk management process to identify and manage foreseeable significant risks.
  6. Health and Safety: You will provide health and safety leadership for the project team and assume responsibility for all aspects of health and safety associated with the project.
  7. Technical Expertise: You will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and control engineering, and will be able to lead P&ID reviews, HAZOP Studies, Control System URS, FDS reviews, and set the standard for site acceptance tests for electrical and control equipment.
  8. Qualifications and Experience: You will have a certificate in project management or relevant project experience, and will have experience in contractor management and commissioning.
