The Role: Senior Contracts Manager - Energy

We're seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Contracts Manager to join our dedicated Energy team. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a team that's already achieving great results while striving for continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key suppliers, including those involved in MAP and MOP contracts. This includes negotiating amendments and side letters to ensure contracts align with business requirements and stakeholder expectations.
  • Drive the profitability of our metering portfolio by meticulously analyzing cost structures, contractual levers, and commercial dynamics.
  • Proactively identify and manage all potential risks associated with contracts, providing comprehensive reports on these risks at least quarterly.
  • Collaborate closely with Smart teams and Operations to ensure timely production of forecasts, challenges, and planning information for suppliers.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service-level agreements (SLAs) monthly. Develop and implement remedial action plans for any underperformance.
  • Work in tandem with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Finance, and Product to ensure we fulfill our contractual obligations to suppliers.
  • Negotiate and procure smart meters effectively.
  • Lead and mentor a team of contracts professionals, fostering their development and growth.
