- Experience in Asset Management is essential.
As a Reliability Asset Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the dependability and availability of the client's thermal generation and gas storage assets. This role is crucial for maximizing operational efficiency and commercial opportunities while adhering to the Thermal Asset Management policy and strategic goals.
You will collaborate closely with the Reliability Manager and asset engineers across various operational sites and technical fields to ensure the availability of our thermal plants. Your focus will be on key performance indicators related to asset performance, implementing solutions for asset information systems, reviewing maintenance processes, identifying critical maintenance tasks, optimizing spare parts, and managing digital assets. Additionally, you will support the engineering of Low Carbon Projects and contribute to Asset Management initiatives as a Suitably Qualified Experienced Personnel (SQEP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Employ analytical tools and methodologies, including asset criticality analysis and Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) analysis, to enhance lifecycle operational performance and asset integrity.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on asset reliability key performance indicators, aiding in the development of performance benchmarks through digital tools and dashboards.
- Assist in the review and enhancement of thermal asset management strategies, maintenance plans, and critical spare parts to uphold asset integrity standards.
- Provide technical assistance to operational and maintenance teams regarding failure analysis and maintenance optimization.
- Contribute to the establishment of asset reliability requirements for the design and development of new assets.
Business Acumen:
- Proven experience or a solid understanding of Lifecycle Asset Management and Reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles, preferably within the power generation sector.
- Familiarity with a diverse array of asset management systems, technologies, and equipment in the power generation and gas storage industries.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or reliability discipline is preferred.
- Knowledge of best engineering practices, relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- A comprehensive understanding of reliability analysis techniques applicable to mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, including fault tree analysis and failure reporting systems.
- Professional chartered status or certification in Reliability Engineering or a related field is advantageous.
